HAB Economic Cooperation (HAB GMK), the legal predecessor of ILPEA ProfExt Plastic Processing Ltd. (Limited Liability company was founded on 10 October 1987 by two persons, then it grew with six persons on 15 January 1988. In the first two years the company dealt only with extrusion of soft PVC profile, and from 1989 the activity sphere expanded with welding of extruded profiles.
With the expansion of production and return from sales of HAB GMK, it became unavoidable to transform the GMK (Economic Cooperation) into Kft. (Limited Liability Company). ProfExt Plastic Processing Ltd was founded on 1 January, 1992 with registered capital amounted one million HUF taking over the rights with all duites acquired by HAB GMK.
In the month of April, 1993 Industrie ILPEA S.p.A. acquired 50 % ownership, then ILPEA - with agreement of the other owners - increased the registered capital; and in this way she started to raise the technical level of ProfExt Ltd into the European level as 80 % ownership. Return from sales and the technical level of production's quality develop rapidly with joining of ILPEA.
In 1996 the owners started further significant investments which stopped in the month of July, 1997. Among others a 2000 m2 manufacturing hall was built and put new soft- and rigid PVC extruding- and welding machines into operation.
In 1997 name of the company was changed into ILPEA ProfExt Ltd. following to our foreign partners. With dynamic development of the company, conformity to quality requirements of our customers and the parent company became more and more important. As a result of continuous improvements our quality system ISO 9002 Quality Assurance System was introduced at the end of this year; so we could join up to companies selling products with conformity to European quality requirements. Certification was made by ÉMI-TÜV Bayern Ltd. as this corporation audits the other factories of ILPEA as well.
In 2000 a new 2000 m2 rigid PVC factory was built which was assembled with new extruding and welding machines in 2001 with expansion of production.
In 2001 our company among the first obtained the new, ISO 9001:2000 quality certification.
In 2003 we successfully built our environmental protection system onto the level which complies both with the legal prescriptions and ISO -and customer requirements. As a result of the continuous improvements and environment-recognized behaviour of our workers, our company has obtained - among the first of ILPEA companies - ISO 14001:1996 certification.
Our company makes work certified Quality System according to MSZ EN ISO 9001:2008 and Environmental Management System according to MSZ EN ISO 14001:2004; we do our managing and manufacturing activities keep these requirements in view.
Production activity of the company is continuously increasing also at present, and we try to make it more competitive with continuous technological changes, economical usage of material and energy, reducing environmental output and with effort to economical production. For this reason a new and modern 1700 m2 factory for production of coextruded profiles was built in 2005, which meets the new customer requirements and assure further possibility of employment for people from the neighbourhood.
98 % of the manufacturing activity is production of refrigerators' spare parts. Our most important customer is companies of Electrolux in Jászberény and in Nyíregyháza. There are further sales to other Hungarian companies and services, such as DOMETIC Zrt., CARRIER CR Magyarország Ltd., Helkama Forste Ltd., Crown Cool Thermotechnika International, etc.
In compliance with requirements of our foreign customers we supply spare parts for more companies producing refrigerators and chest-freezers, such as FRIGOGLASS GROUP in Romania and Russia, METALFRIO GROUP in Russia and Denmark, SC ARCTIC SA (Romania), SEGAL SRO (Slovakia), IAR GROUP in Italy, RIVIERA (Italy), NEDIS OY (Finland), REC TEMOVEX (Sweden) and plants of ILPEA GROUP.
